About Us:

Once upon a time in a faraway land, three awesome tell-it-like-it-is ladies came into existence with a flash of glitter. They quickly found themselves surrounded by unicorns... Well... to be fair it didn’t quite happen like that, but we’re sticking to our story!

In truth, the three of us all have a little baby at home, and we actually became close during our pregnancies. During our pregnancy we created our own book club, and read books such as ‘Cinderella Ate my Daughter’ and ‘BossyPants.’ Once we gave birth, we realized we needed a break.

That break is what started this book blog! We were three Jennifer's with a mission. However, toddlers take up a LOT of time, and our priorities changed. Due to time constraints, this blog is currently run by Jenni and her husband; Bobby.

Meet Jenni:

Hello! I am Jenni, your resident historical fiction loving middle school ‘librarian.’ ‘Librarian’ you ask? Well, unfortunately the school district I work for has cut all but one Librarian position in order to save money. I am not that librarian. I do not have a degree in media science by any stretch of the imagination. However, I DO have a license and teaching certification to teach Language Arts, Literature and Social Studies in grades 4th-9th. I am the ‘librarian’ to the students and while I love what I do, I am still a teacher in my heart.

As expected, I am an avid reader. I will read almost anything, but I love historical fiction and historical fiction romances. :) I can’t wait to get to know more of you, and I wish you all happy reading!

P.S. Expect me to talk about my adorable daughter, Taylor, as often as possible!

Bobby: This is Jenni's husband. If you saw him at BEA '14, his badge said 'Dinosaur Hunter' and he had attached an orange dinosaur to it as well. Bobby has his doctorates in pharmacy, and in every moment he is NOT playing with his daughter, or working with radioactive material, he is reading. His specialty is Sci-fi and Fantasy, and from time-to-time will write reviews for the blog. If you like Marvel over D.C., Patrick Rothfuss, and video games, send him a shout-out!

Meet Jenn D:

Hi guys! I’m Jenn! I’m a stay at home mom to 2 girls and 3 furbabies. I live in a fairly small town, and if I’m not busy cleaning something, then I can be found reading or trying to get some time online. I’ve bounced around in the education department. I tried social work and veterinary technician, but neither are for me. I’m debating on once my baby is in school, going to university to get a degree in English to become an actual Librarian, but we will see!

I bounce around from genre to genre. Like Jenni, I am a huge Historical fiction lover, but I’m also a huge fan of Paranormal/Fantasy novels. I also still read a lot of Young Adult books. I’m always open for suggestions!

Meet Jenn C:

Hi everyone!!

I’m the first Jenn in the alphabet which is fitting since I’m the oldest of the Jenn’s!  Does that give me the most wisdom?

Well unlike the other Jenn’s I am not overly fond of historical fiction - which is funny because I have a Bachelor of Arts....in HISTORY!!!  Even now and then I dabble in non-fiction history but it isn’t likely you’ll read a review by me on the subject!  I guess all those years of undergraduate work in the area has led me down different avenues.

What will you likely read about from me?  Any well written book from any genre!  I love them all!  My favorites for a quick read though are crime thrillers!

I have an adorable 5 month old and a newly founded baby boutique!  I am also on Maternity Leave from my full time job in Emergency Communications!!  I am still struggling to find balance in everything that I do but I know that when I need to take a few minutes to escape and forget about the hecticness that I call my life my friends on the pages of my books (or screen of my e-reader) will be waiting to take me to another place in time, on earth or planet!
